On May 19, the global premiere of Golden Sea's “A Journey Through theNight” light show was successfully held at the Performing Arts Culture Center of Golden Sea’s Intelligent Manufacturing Base for Entertainment Lighting in Guangzhou. Led by internationally renowned lighting designer Martin Kuhn, this lighting art event blends Eastern and Western aesthetics, using nearly a thousand professional entertainment fixtures and semi-transparent LED screens as core elements to create an immersive audiovisual experience. The structural support system for the entire large-scale stage design was provided by WTC, laying a solid hardware foundation for this feast of light and shadow.

When the calligraphic imagery of “Guan Cang Hai” was projected onto the large screen, and images of rugged ancient pines, a bright moon, mountains, and sea unfolded, a thousand fixtures transformed into dazzling, flowing beams. Sound, light, and shadow interwove into an artistic scroll integrating East and West. Behind this stunning audiovisual experience was the stable and reliable structural base provided by WTC.

The stage design demanded heavy loads, multiple devices, and complex shapes: it needed to simultaneously carry nearly a thousand fixtures, support large-area semi-transparent LED screens, and realize curved, circular, and multi-level stage configurations. This required trusses with flexible splicing capabilities to adapt to changing stage designs. WTC adopted a multi-series spigot truss combination solution, paired with an electric chain hoist suspension system, enabling overall lifting and lowering, zoned leveling, and precise positioning. This allowed the large number of fixtures to achieve "stable, accurate, and fast" results during installation, focusing, and rehearsal.

WTC's spigot trusses are made of high-strength 6082-T6 aluminum alloy and feature quick-lock spigot connections, balancing high load-bearing capacity, structural precision, and assembly efficiency. Each truss series plays its own role: heavy-duty TT86 and TS44 serve as primary load-bearing beams to carry concentrated loads; TTI54 is used for long-span extension frames; HT44, HT43, and HT34 series form secondary frames, curved configurations, and side towers. Multiple specifications are combined to precisely match the complex layout on the stage lighting plot, achieving circular, curved, and multi-level staggered three-dimensional structural configurations.

“A Journey Through theNight” is a benchmark project for in-depth collaboration between a Chinese enterprise and an international lighting artist. It is a brilliant practice of integrating technology and culture, demonstrating the innovation strength of Chinese entertainment equipment companies to the industry. As the “invisible skeleton” of stage engineering, WTC used a multi-specification spigot truss combination solution to overcome engineering challenges involving large spaces, heavy loads, and complex shapes, perfectly adapting to the demanding conditions of large indoor performance venues.

From heavy-duty primary load-bearing beams to auxiliary scenic frames and complete electric chain hoist suspension systems, WTC provides an integrated structural solution. It conceals precision mechanical engineering behind the scenes of light and shadow, allowing artistic creativity to be freely presented under the guarantee of structural safety, and ensuring that spectacular light-and-shadow art events are delivered securely.
